For its activities, Thales Belgium SA (for both Tubize & Herstal sites) is looking for a: Human Resources Director

Your Mission:

As the Human Resources Director you contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the company by managing and developing the Human Resources activities. Furthermore you are in charge of all Human Resources issues for Thales Belgium. You report directly to Thales Belgium CEO and to DEOI (Europe & International Operations Department) Human Resources Director, and you are a member of Thales Belgium Executive Committee.

You will operate within Thales Group in a matrix organization and will take responsibility within the different business units and business lines. Furthermore you will divide your time between its 2 main locations Tubize & Herstal.

Your main Responsibilities:

  • To define overall policy and associated objectives, ensures their implementation in the three areas of activity: professional development, employee relations, compensation and benefits;
  • To be responsible for the implementation of the key HR processes: target setting (for teams and individuals), assessment, compensation, people reviews, feedback, development action plans, mobility, recruitment, merger and acquisition activities (in coordination with country Legal teams), management communications and employee relations;
  • To be actively involved in the Group's HR projects and implement them at the entity level (Global Payroll, Workday, Talent Acquisition Hubs etc).

More precisely:

  • Ensure the compliance of the entity with regard to EU & Belgian tax and social legislation;
  • Maintain social peace on the sites through a permanent and constructive dialogue with the social partners;
  • Animate all meetings with staff representatives on both sites (CE, CPPT, DS) and be responsible for social elections process;
  • Manage and conduct internal communication activities;
  • Liaise and cooperate in a proactive, timely and transparent matter with his/her HR peers at global business units as well as DEOI and Corporate level and provide reports as requested by the Group;
  • Develop an external network;
  • Organise and animate collective events and promote integration, diversity i.e. a positive working environment and improve sense of belonging within the entity.

Wie we zoeken

Your Profile:

  • Master Degree, MBA or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 years professional and leadership experience in a similar position as HR Director with broad involvement in an international commercial and operational environment (both strategic vision and hands on approach are needed)
  • Ability to work independently as well as a strong team player within an international background and a matrix organisation
  • Strong and successful experience in team management
  • Willingness to travel when required to fulfil the requirements of the role
  • A strong personality who wants to challenge others and be challenged
  • Language skills: professional proficiency in French, English and Dutch (mandatory)
